As we move into an ambitious new season, we are investing deeply in storytelling, donor relationships, and public engagement to support our goal of $3M in annual fundraising and substantially increasing our engagement both online and offline.
We are seeking a Marketing & Content Coordinator to help shape how the world experiences Orant, through compelling stories, meaningful relationships, and strategic visibility.
The Role
The Marketing & Content Coordinator provides strategic impact across marketing, communications, events, and brand representation. This role works closely with the Executive Director and Development team and serves as a key public-facing representative of Orant to donors, partners, and communities in the U.S. and internationally.
This is a hands-on role for someone who blends strategy with execution and is energized by both storytelling and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with Orant’s $3M annual fundraising goal

Integrate storytelling, donor engagement, and brand visibility to build trust and deepen community connection

Lead annual marketing and communications planning and evaluation

Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Development team to align campaigns and donor cultivation efforts
Community & Donor Engagement

Represent Orant at donor events, partner meetings, conferences, and community gatherings

Occasionally organize and lead in-person donor meetings, site visits, and small group briefings

Plan and execute awareness campaigns and community celebrations in conjunction with signature fundraising events

Coordinate U.S.- and Malawi-based speaking engagements and volunteer appreciation events

Develop event materials, including invitations, presentations, talking points, and follow-up communications

Track event ROI and donor engagement outcomes in collaboration with Development
Content Creation & Storytelling

Craft compelling narratives and visual content that reflect Orant’s impact and values

Produce multimedia content including videos, photography, blogs, newsletters, and annual reports

Train staff and field contributors in ethical, dignity-centered storytelling

Ensure consistent messaging across digital, print, and live platforms
Digital Marketing & Public Relations

Manage Orant’s digital presence, including website updates, SEO, social media channels, and digital advertising

Lead social media campaigns that support events and donor engagement

Build and maintain media relationships; draft press releases and coordinate coverage

Use analytics to assess reach, engagement, and visibility and modify approach as appropriate
Brand Management & Representation

Serve as a visible ambassador for Orant at key public events and partnerships

Maintain consistent brand messaging and visual standards across all touchpoints

Develop branded materials for events, donor meetings, and field visits
Internal Collaboration & Leadership

Partner with program teams to gather impact data and stories

Collaborate with Development on donor communications, appeals, and sponsorship materials

Mentor marketing staff and volunteers

Support cross-team campaigns that integrate fundraising, communications, and events
Performance & Growth

Set and track engagement, donor retention, event participation, and media metrics

Provide quarterly reports to the Executive Director and Board

Stay current on nonprofit marketing, event strategy, and donor engagement trends
Qualifications
-
1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or content creation (nonprofit experience strongly preferred)

Extensive experience with all social media platforms including TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn

Proven experience leading campaigns and marketing initiatives

Exceptional storytelling, writing, and presentation skills

Strong project management and cross-team collaboration abilities

Comfort serving as a public-facing representative and relationship-builder

Experience with digital marketing, social media, and analytics tools

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Ability to work from our Dallas-based office three or more days per week
