DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to vote?  The St. James A.M.E. Church and the Martin Luther King Jr. Advisory Board will present the Get Smart. Go Vote! voters' education forum that will be held Tuesday\, September 9\, 2014\, from 7-8:30 p.m.\, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center\, located at 1300 Wilson in Denton. Guest speakers include Senator Royce West and Attorney Alejandro Reyes of Washington\, DC. An expert panel to answer questions about voting includes: Department of Public Safety\, NAACP\, Denton LULAC Council\, Texas Secretary of State\, ACLU of Texas\, League of Women Voters\, Denton County Elections\, and political director for the Wendy Davis Campaign. Presentation on obtaining photo ID and a voter registration drive will be held. This event is FREE and everyone is invited.
